"My father's first cousin was Henry Mellish, after whom the existing school is named. Although the name will disappear when it is merged with the River Leen School, I don't mind because I think the new Academy will be a great success. I'm sure it's going to change things for the better throughout the community and it's going to provide the skilled people we will need in the future. The Academy is a tremendous investment for Bulwell and I wish it every good fortune."
