The Bulwell Academy is an 11-18 academy serving families in and around the Bulwell area of Nottingham. We have recently become part of the family of schools that make up the Creative Education Trust and are at the start of a journey to raise standards and ensure we do all that is needed to help the young people we serve succeed; they deserve a great education, and we’re committed to delivering it.

We are seeking an Academy Improvement Lead to Head our English Department and provide professional leadership to our team of teachers and support staff. The successful candidate will ensure that teaching and delivery of the English curriculum is high quality and effective.

School Counsellor 

Salary BA10 - £29,636 - £31,371 FTE

Full-time, 37 hours per week, part-time considered (4 days per week) 

Term-time only, 39 weeks per year

We are seeking a School Counsellor who can provide a high-quality counselling service to students experiencing a wide range of emotional problems, and provide appropriate support, guidance and advice to parents, carers and the Academy. 

The successful applicant will be able to offer counselling to students for a range of issues including academic problems, difficulties with peers, behavioural difficulties in the classroom, emotional issues arising from parental separation and divorce, bereavement, relationships with parents and attendance problems.
